We had such a fun time at this farm. Picking our own strawberries was super easy and there were tons of ripe ones to choose from. They also have blueberries and sea buckthorn, which was an awesome bonus. everything was fresh and tasty. The staff were really nice, and the farm itself is clean and family friendly. Definitely a great spot to spend the day and take home some yummy fruit!
I visited Bärby Self-picking last year and had a great time — but unfortunately, this year was a big disappointment. Despite the name, there was no self-picking allowed! We came specifically for the experience of picking our own strawberries, but instead, we found pre-picked greenhouse strawberries for sale — expensive, not very tasty, and lacking that fresh field feeling.nnI came with a group of friends and had recommended the place based on my past experience, but it ended up feeling like we just drove a long way to buy overpriced berries from a shop. Definitely not what we had in mind.nnI wouldn’t recommend this place unless they bring back the actual self-picking experience.
Quite nice farm, rude personnelnnThey monitor you strictly, don’t even think about eating one piece while picking. The vibe there gives off more negative energy than good feelings.nwhat should be the joy of farming and generosity has turned into a business.nI personally didn't like that.
This was our third visit to the farm, but unfortunately, it will be our last. We came after seeing a Facebook post mentioning limited strawberries. When we arrived, no one was at the counter, so we walked a bit to see if anyone was around. A lady, possibly working on the farm, spoke to us quite rudely, saying there can’t be strawberries in autumn and that we shouldn’t be roaming in someone’s farm like that.nWe understand the season might be over, but the tone and attitude were unnecessary. A little politeness would have made a big difference.
I was deeply disappointed during my most recent visit with my family and friends .nnWhat stood out this time was the noticeably rough and dismissive attitude shown toward Asian visitors and children. we were met with curt instructions, unfriendly glances, and an overall unwelcoming vibe.nnTreating guests with fairness and respect should be a basic standard, regardless of their background.nnSadly, we won’t be returning — not because of the strawberries, but because of how we were made to feel. I hope the staff reflects on this and works toward creating a more inclusive and respectful environment for all guests.
