Beautiful historic hotel in Karlskoga, right on the Bofors site which is now occupied by BAE, Saab, and other engineering companies. We used a conference room downstairs which was well set-up and very comfortable. We also had fika in the hotel which was lovely, and lunch which was a warm buffet. At the foot of the stairs is the statue of Alfred Nobel, Swedish chemist, inventor, engineer and businessman, who owned Bofors from 1894 - 1896.
Although this hotel doesn't look like much from the outside it's absolutely stunning inside, the rooms are fabulous spacious and very modern I booked here at the last minute due to a change in plans for tomorrow and I'm so glad I did, with it's beautiful decor inside and in a great location, most of all the staff here are super nice and very helpful. If you happen to be in the area and you are looking for somewhere to stay you will be pleasantly surprised by how beautiful this place is.
The hotel has very friendly staff.nMy room was nice and new with a good Design.nThe bath was a bit standard, but clean, which is more important to me.
Beautiful architecture, 20th century art and furniture, competent restaurant and service. My room was rather big, with a nice bed. The bathroom was modern shower, but no bathtub, there may be bathtubs in other rooms, heard of one suite with roof windows in all the rooms, including the bathroom. Everything was impeccably clean. There was a hairdryer and an enlarging mirror. Highly recommended for business, or leasure overnight stay.
A hotel with a nearly centenary history, built in 1930, emanates tradition and style. Classy restaurant. Fantastic suite.
