Great place with a lot of information on Sweden's past history, boats and even Madame de Staël!nWhen I was visiting, there was an exhibition about the ecology where you can learn a lot about recycling; well done, fun for adults and kids.
Fantastic regional museum. Admission is free. Has a variety of exhibits including displays of early and modern history of the area. Also galleries with the work of local artists. Nice cafe, which looks out over the river.
We visited the children's area at Bohuslän museum which doesn't require any entrace fee. It is a beautiful space for kids of all ages, lovingly decorated in nautical style. If you are in the area I would really recommend it!
