The bathing place in Bönan out in Norrlandet is a nice bathing place just outside Gävle. You can swim in the sea but the bay is protected and shallow so it often gets warm here and it is also good for small children. Don't miss Böna Cafè which is a couple of hundred meters further away, a must when you are here. On the way out to Bönan there are also Engeltofta and Engesberg which also have good swimming. Lunch can be eaten at Huseliiharen, which is right next to Engesberg, or at Engeltofta.

The place is very beautiful and peaceful, with nice nature and lovely views. Unfortunately, some important facilities are missing, for example, there are no garbage cans and the toilets have an unpleasant smell. There is also only one barbecue area, which makes the area somewhat limited. With a little more care and better maintenance, this could be a great swimming spot. Despite this, it is a nice place to visit, especially on sunny days.
