Bongska Huset

Very good coffee and bakery. We visited the area for a week and went here almost every morning to get a fresh coffee and some sweets for breakfast. Very nice place and kind people.

The room was clean and had a nice view of the harbour. However, the toilet seat was broken. All the rooms are situated on the first floor without any lift. The stair is quite steep, so it is not the easiest to carry up any large suitcases.

We had lunch in this pleasant eatery, richly decorated with local paraphernalia and located in the harbour of Abbekås on the Swedish south coast. The menu offers you dishes of various size and we chose XL, cod and Wiener schnitzel respectively, both very generous in size and well executed. Service is kind but the place appears a little understaffed at rush hours. You can eat both in- and outdoors and in addition, there is a well stocked bakery. Recommended!

Had the blue mussels with French fries. Highly recommended. Large portion and good value for what you get. Sat in the garden at the rear. Busy Sunday lunchtime in high summer but service and wait times were excellent. Will be back again.

A great big American “Thank You” to Antoni, who was “in charge “ for the evening. Food was great and the room was very comfortable. If you are traveling in this area of Sweden, be sure to book a night or two and certainly stop for lunch. Thanks Again for the visit.
