Its open only on Saturdays and Sundays during the summer season but the person in charge was very kind and came and opened it for our kids as we were 3 families. The kids really liked the place and vehicles with all the history relating it. We parents had the luxury to sit a while in the cafe area.
Great museum. Lots of firefighting cars
Nice museum that is well worth a visit, the son loved that you got to test the fire engines. There were many fire engines, a few ambulances and a police car. There was also equipment that had been used in service. Lovely and committed staff at the museum.
So much more than fire engines and these too exceeded all our expectations. Appreciate the care with which educational and informative texts have been written. That there are elements from other countries but also informed about the various challenges we have around the country. We will definitely be back when we have more time! And then we bring a child.nnIn addition to fire engines, there is a collection of helmets from around the world. Historical information and things from other emergency services including a police car, ambulance and an old hospital.nnSome sales of related children's books, flashlight and crank radio, and belt cutter.
Fantastic museum that is well worth a visit for both adults and children! Really interesting with lots of vehicles of different kinds, it was especially fun that you actually got to climb up and sit in them!nNoticed that the staff was really passionate about their museum :-
