Speaking from my personal experience - Absolutely horrid place to work at when it comes to seasonal fruit harvest. Complete workers' exploitation: 12-16h a day, 7 days a week, sleeping in an old barn, abusive shift managers and piece work - if the season is bad, you might barely make any money at all. Avoid at all costs as an employee, so that it doesn't happen to you, and as a customer, so that you're not complicit in exploitation.
A lot of varieties of strawberries and raspberries. Very tasty and really good quality! Jam, marmalade, strawberry nectar, cookies, flowers... and so on are available also in the boutique. The Sibbesson family is doing its best to grow high quality Swedish strawberries!
This review extends the review by Sebastian Szyszka:nn5. Accommodation of yours, isn't free as well. You pay for that too, although I have to admit that not too much, it's a rather small amount of money. That being said, your stay may vary. There were people who were living in a normal house with lots of space, proper bathroom and kitchen, and private 2 person rooms, but vast majority sleeps in a stable converted to a place where people sleep, by giving it one shower and very simple kitchen arrangement. Queue for the shower after long day of work stretches for at least 1,5 hour. Apart from that and the mattresses, there is nothing else. Literally. People are told to bring there own furniture, pots, sheets - everything. No internet as well. I guess you're lucky to have electricity and running water.nn6. If it's a peak of season, expect to be working from 5am often until 6pm or even 8am. If it's not, then about 7-10 hours a day. You work everyday, you get no day off at all.nn7. Don't believe what you're being told by the Polish supervisor over the phone. We've been told that most likely we will be picking raspberries, and that there is no possibility to receive contracts by email. Contacting the office, we got contracts in 15 minutes, and we ended up working at picking strawberries only.nnAt the end I try really hard to find something good to say about the whole place. I guess that I could say that Swedish family is quite nice in a superficial kinda way and that I didn't hear about anybody having problems with receiving their salary.nnTo summarize - I really really recommend you to find different job. If you definitely have to go, If you really need money that bad, an have no other offers, make sure that it's peak of the season, that you have your own car preferably something old and rugged, otherwise it's really not worth it at all. When you're there, talk with swedes in case of any problems. They often say that they're gonna take care about something, and later it turns out that they didn't, but they're by far a better alternative to those Polish supervisors.
Family friendly.. we had much fun and ate tasty berries
