Broudden (Sundbyholms naturvårdsområde)

The esker pulls out into a point in the lake and there's a paved walkpath out along it, with a couple of dog swimming spots and some signage with information about the nature of the pine-clad point.

It was a summer a few years ago. I cycled out to the Broudden nature reserve. The road there was long and quiet, just the fields, the forest and the wind in my ears. When I arrived, the lake lay still, like a mirror. The ground smelled of pine and warm earth.nnWe built a fire that evening. Simple food, grilled over the embers, tasted better than all the restaurants in the world. The friends laughed, the flames flickered, and darkness slowly fell over the water. There was no rush, no city, just us and the summer night.nnI remember it as something pure and clear. An evening when life was simple, and the simple was enough. Nature can be enchanting.

Nice place but the water was too nice and tasted good when cold sup
