This place has a special spot in my heart. I first visited back in 2019 and I still happily make the train trip from Copenhagen to Malmö just for it. Back then, it was a simple little pub paper menus, a wonderfully grumpy barman, and that cosy “local secret” feeling.nnFast forward to today, and the place has evolved beautifully. The staff are warm, friendly, and genuinely lovely, while the menu has grown into something much bigger and better. Thankfully, one thing hasn’t changed: the veal meatballs are still the best in the area. Absolutely worth the journey alone.nnThis time I finished with the chocolate and rum dessert and wow… dangerously delicious. Paired with a half-pint shandy, it was the perfect ending to a brilliant visit. Some places lose their charm over time this one somehow managed to keep it and improve it at the same time.
One of the best restaurants Ive eaten at in the region. Found it randomly and have zero regrets. First, when we entered, they were quite full, and of course we didnt have a reservation, but the staff was kind and friendly and found us a table anyway. The atmosphere is fantastic, like going back in time several decades to a real, old fashioned Scandinavian restaurant. The beer selection and drinks are magnificant. The food menu is limited to classic regional foods, however each one is fantastic. WARNING, if you try their Swedish meatballs, you'll never be able to eat the IKEA ones again! They taste heavenly, made from fresh ingredients. The Peppersteak was cooked to perfection and the potatoes used fresh herbs that tasted wonderful. I hands down recommend this restaurant, its a short walk from the Central Train Station so even if you are in Copenhagen, its worth the short train ride. If you can reserve a table.
The meatballs were excellent, if you want to try the authentic ones, I highly recommend this place. The creamy fish soupe was way too salty for my taste, but the fish and seafood inside were perfect. I appreciate the non alcoholic drink selection as well.
Came here late for dinner and was able to sit immediately on a Sunday night. There were plenty of seats. I wanted to eat a traditional Swedish dish so I got the fish soup and meatballs. Meatballs were so soft and the fish had great flavor. Would come again!
Meatball were delicious, the pickle, berries, potatoes, meatball, and the sauce balanced out each other. Very satisfying to eat! While the creamy fish soup was okay, nothing special.nnThe interior and service were comfortable, welcoming, and warm. Overall experience was not bad at all!
