We visited the place with a vw polo to buy 4.8m planks-the plan was to cut them to size at the place in the parking lot as i usually need to do if i buy something too big with this midget car. :DnSurprisingly this place have a cutting station right at the entry-nothing fancy, but it has a roof, and a lot of space for long stuff to cut. as bonus, there was no mosquitoes as we have at home where i need to cut otherwise. :D cutting here was a big upgrade compared to other places, so i guess i will be back if i need to do something like this again.nOnly minus that they had only 4.5 long planks where they should have 4.8 size by the markings, probably 4.8 went out and they filled up with a wrong size what we generally aimed for to cut to 1.2 pieces. Bringing a measuring tape with you is a good idea anyways to doublecheck they what you need anywhere.
Awful experience!nI’m hugely disappointed with the online shopping experience at Byggmax. Among other things, I’ve ordered 14 plasterboards of the 1200x2500 size to be delivered home. A few days before the planned delivery, I got notified that those plasterboards were out of stock, despite a much bigger quantity being available in the system when I placed the order. That was annoying enough, as I specifically chose to have home delivery, so I wouldn’t have to rent a trailer and deal with it myself. Other things that I ordered didn’t have the right quantity and were damaged during transport. Luckily, that issue was promptly dealt with. However, it is 3 weeks after I got the notification about the 14 plasterboards being out of stock 2 weeks after the delivery and I still haven’t received my money back! This is absolutely unacceptable. Complete disorganisation and lack of respect for the customers. Do not shop in Byggmax!
Absolutely horrified by their customer support. They have replaced phone based customer support with emails/chat. Only problem they don't respond. I have waited 4 days now on a response to understand why my order was incorrectly cancelled. Please chose another supplier.
Smooth to load wood due to the big loading areas outside. Otherwise inside, this is not a store like Bauhaus Länna which has more to offer. But maybe a bit cheaper.
It's a low-cost kind of construction materials store. Very little staff and things a bit all over the place. For example, there might be stuff that shows up in their stock, but it's empty on the shelf. Then you need to go in the back and search for it by yourself. If it's on a higher shelf, then you need to get an employee to bring it down with a forklift. Cheap, but messy.
