Canoe Center in Stockamöllan

Beautiful and peaceful location for canoeing through the scenic Rönne river. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the equipment is in great condition. A perfect way to enjoy nature and unwind. Highly recommended for a relaxing outdoor experience!

Friendly staff, ok equipment, not very beautiful river, complicated logistics.nnIt’s possible to take public transport bus 518 to the start, but then you have to paddle out and back to the same starting point. The way back is slightly upstream. There is a taxi that can pickup at the 12km stopping point, but the 15 minute drive back costs 560kr which is more than the 1 day canoe rental and you have to call them twice and sounds like there may be long waits or they may not come at all. This info should be more clear on the website. It simply says you can take the bus to arrive but not what trips are possible.nnThe friendly guide said the canoe company doesn’t have a taxi license which is why they don’t offer return pickup, but I think they really need to get this service to make this paddle make sense. Otherwise you need a friend with a car or take 2 cars which is a hassle.nnThe river is quite narrow and sometimes windy/shallow/with rocks. Requires more navigating skill and cooperation than other beginner rivers I’ve been on. Tons of dragonflies which was lovely, but the landscape is nothing too special farm fields, grazing cows, some distant trees and it stank like rotting mud as it warmed up after lunch.nnThe toilet at the lunch stop #2 on the map was in terrible need of maintenance, no toilet paper and nearly full to the brim, almost unusable.nnWhen we returned to the canoe center at 14:30 it was locked and closed, no bathroom was available and no instructions on returning the canoe.nnAlthough the staff was friendly both over text/online chat/phone and in person, the experience overall feels quite self-service, you’re supposed to watch the video for what to do and pick out and clean your equipment yourself and sort out your own way home off the river.nI will next try paddling in lakes, so far Skåne’s rivers have been disappointing.

Very nice to try it, and very recommended, lovely adventure

A superb outing with the family: me, husband, son w girlfriend 25 years old, daughter 13 years old and a dog. We did the one day trip as a birthday celebration, at the end of May. It was absolutely beautiful and at times rather exciting, as it has some passages that take a bit of team work, which added just the right amount of adventure feel for us.nWe brought picnic and feasted by the riverbank at the pretty spot where the canoes had to be lifted past a bridge. We had rented two canoes and had one for the adults+dog she loved it and one for the youths : Will defenitely come back, feel lucky to have this just an hour or so from home.

An absolute treat for any nature-loving Adventurer! Let the sound of your paddles in the river, birds singing and trees whispering, wash all your worries away as you gently follow the stream of the river.
