CDH provides a platform for the exploration and application of the many opportunities and perspectives that emerge with digitalisation.
The Centre for Digital Humanities (CDH) provides a platform for the exploration and application of the many opportunities and perspectives that emerge with digitalisation. Research and education in the humanities can be reinforced, revitalised and enriched by digital material, tools and methods as well as by theories, perspectives and new views that arise in the dialogue with contemporary digital culture.
CDH is anchored in interdisciplinarity and method development, in particular through the strong position of language technology, the Swedish Language Bank and the Center for Language Technology at the University of Gothenburg. But the humanities also fill an important role by problematising the way we approach and utilise new technologies. Thus, the field of digital humanities does not only concern tools and technologies but can also contribute with new and critical perspectives concerning the relationship between the humanities discourse and the past, the present and the future.
We would like to get in touch with researchers, teachers and students with an interest in aspects of the humanities and digital culture. We don’t expect you to present a complete project idea and you don’t need to know anything about digital technologies, methods or perspectives. So don’t hesitate to contact us if you are interested in cooperating with us or have questions of digital humanities.
