So if you’re a us buyer and made it this far to find the google review, you’ll probably make a purchase. I hemmed and hawed when buying a reel for 7 switch rod. It’s tricky to figure out sizing buying a reel sight unseen. Customer service was super helpful and videos showed me. I didn’t buy a reel for that rod but purchased one for another rod later. Quality is excellent. Shipping to east coast was around 5 days counting the weekend.

So after much deliberation and after being let down twice by both the Scierra XDA and XDP salmon reels, I decided to look for something reliable and durable. Much of the advice I sought on Facebook and from fellow anglers. To my surprise, Danielsson fly reels kept coming up as a reliable and reasonable build. So, I placed an order for a contact 8thirtheen on the evening of 02/02/22. I received my reel on the morning of 04/02/22 with the engraving complete and no delivery costs. That's efficient....nThe reel itself isn't the prettiest, but neither am I so no loss there. It looks to be superbly constructed and its well finished. I think the weight will suit my 14' 9wt Sage Igniter, but I haven't given it the full run out yet.nOverall, I'm super happy with the reel and efficiency of Danielsson.nAfter a full workout, I'll update my review.nFor now, well done Danielsson.
