A very nice museum to experience!nnThe carved figures are really good and give you an inside in the soul of the artist. The other side of the museum is about seaships and nautical. A very nice bonus, it gives an insight in development of shipping in the Oskarshamn regio.
Enjoyed the exhibition a lot! Good display of his art , information signs well translated into English. Following the displays by numeric order you can truly tell how his art was evolving through time.nParking area provided, need to pay little amount for a spot. I recommend bringing a sweater as it was a bit chill in the museum.
The Marine Museum is much what you'd expect and not uninteresting but the Döderhultar part of the combined ticket is a hidden gem that is well worth a visit if in the area. The sense of life and movement from the carved wooden figures are a delight and a short film at the start which can be watched in English give the context if you don't know the man and his life. Excellent.
