It is intuitive, used by beginners and professionals, people matching colours at home, designers in fashion, interiors and graphics and as a tool in colour training, from kindergartens to universities.. Understanding colour is no longer a secret for the selected few. The revolution has started. Colour to the people. This 29 centimetre Kolormondo is particularly useful when you need to show it at a distance, for instance when lecturing to a big group. COLOUR HAS THREE DIMENSIONS Planet Earth is not a flat map, it is a 3D globe. The same goes for colour; it has three dimensions. To be understood, colour needs to be presented in a 3D globe. However, colour charts and colour fans are flat, just like 2D maps. Therefore, as an example, it is confusing choosing colour from samples on the wall in a paint shop. Kolormondo solves this problem. In Kolormondo, the ”colour circle” is situated around the equator. Going north, colours gradually get lighter, meeting in the white North Pole. Going south, they darken towards the black South Pole. Towards the core, the colours blend, meeting in the grey scale. Complementary colours are found across from each other on the round pieces The concept is inspired by pioneers like Runge, Goethe, Munsell and Itten.
