About Welcome to Dala Cottage, your flexible and affordable home from home. Our aim is to ensure that you are able to feel that you have a warm, welcoming environment that accommodates you and your beautiful family. Our aim is to ensure that you are able to feel that you have a warm, welcoming environment that accommodates you and your beautiful family. We think our cottage has a lot going for it, with a ten minute drive to Säfsen Ski Resort and incredible fishing lakes all around. In winter Säfsen offers incredible family skiing facilities, snow camp and the famous kids Filurius Club, while in summer the terrain is known for it’s über hiking trails and mountain biking facilities. Chanterelles and berries are in abundance, with easy walking facilities and picking options for all age ranges. Dala Cottage sleeps up to four adults and has facilities for babies too. There is one master bedroom with a double bed and full wardrobes and another bedroom upstairs which can either be configured as two singles or one large double. We provide all linen, towels, kitchen equipment and cloths, so that you don't have to pack to the hilt! The cottage is newly renovated in light tones and offers a comfortable space for both parents and children alike. In the kitchen you will find brand new facilities with modern appliances and plenty of cookware, pots and pans. We offer two options for those travelling from Stockholm. Fully self-catered where guest supply their own groceries or an alternative where we offer a meet and greet in Häggvik, Vallentuna or Rotebro and we provide a catered option according to chosen menus. Traveling with children As parents we understand the challenges that come with travelling with children and we have done our best to ensure that we have thought of all the little details so that you don’t have to. You can park right outside the front door for ease! For families with babies we offer: A travel cot with baby friendly mattress and bedding Microwave Plastic cutlery, plates,cups and bottles High chair Bibs Change mat A small range of toys Baby towels Travelling with animals We are an animal friendly family and welcome dogs. A small dog bed and a kitty litter tray are both available for use. Pricing We have an online booking tool and we are always cheaper to book direct! If you can see our house is not booked then make us an offer we would rather our house is used and enjoyed than empty! We look forward hearing from you. Aran & Jaime Guest access Keys will be provided upon arrival.You will have full access to the bedrooms, kitchen and all living spaces. We do not live at the house, so the space is yours to enjoy! Free parking is available right outside the front door. Our ski storage cupboard and garage are closed to guests. Interaction with guests We are only a phone call away. We don't stay in the area, but we are happy to help in any way possible. The neighborhood Säfsen is an incredible area with great activities in winter and summer. The Säfsen ski resort is a clear favourite with parents wanting to take their kids skiing. The lessons on offer are very affordable and we would highly recommend them! In summer the activities are endless. The house is close to pretty lakes, water, fishing, berry picking and offers incredible mountain biking trails. Getting around We offer free parking right outside the front door for up to four cars. However there is a bus stop outside the house for convenient travel to Säfsen, Fredriksberg and Ludvika town/train station. A bus goes between Ludvika and Safsen ski resort around every hour. The bus stop is located around a 2 min walk from the property. Other things to note Linen, bedding, towels, kitchen towels and clothes are all provided.
