Story
GotlandRing is the world's first sustainable race and test circuit. The unique race track, situated in a former limestone quarry, is one of the most exciting and technically demanding track profiles ever realised.

In addition to the existing so called Northern Loop (length 3.2 km, width 12-21 meters), the next development phase includes the Southern Loop. After the completion of the Southern Loop, GotlandRing can offer the world's longest track profile with international standard.

The driving experience offered by GotlandRing is Nürburgring Nordschleife like in character and driving pleasure. However, in contrast it is smooth, wide, safe.

The track's main focus is on driver training, international new model launches, b2b edutainment events, eMobility, sustainability related technology development, special events, and exhibitions.

100 % of the electricity is used at the facility is derived from sustainable energy sources (wind and solar).

A planned pilot facility for the Smart Energy Road and Traffic System (SERTS), a concept development invented and initiated by Alec Arho Havrén and the World Ecological Forum network and community, is planned to be deployed on GotlandRing. The unique energy harvesting, self healing, smart microgrid includes even an inductive charging lane for mobile dynamic charging of EVs. Energy harvesting is sourced from solar, thermal, geothermal, wind, hydraulic and kinetic energy.
