English: antipoachingunit.org/om/english.html Story SVENSKA (for English, see below) Insamlingsstiftelsen Anti Poaching Unit (APU) startades i Sverige år 2007 av en grupp poliser för att stoppa den grymma illegala jakten på varg i Rialareviret norr om Stockholm. Sedan dess har stiftelsen vuxit och utvecklats till att gälla alla vilda djur. Förebilden finns i Afrika där man har organiserat sig för att skydda de utrotningshotade djuren mot illegal jakt. Stiftelsens ändamål är att förebygga faunabrott, som illegal jakt på rovdjur och allt annat vilt, genom att hitta faror som illegala fällor, förgiftningar, miljöförstöring m.m. och skapa ett nätverk av seende människor. ENGLISH The Foundation Anti Poaching Unit Sweden (APU) was founded in 2007 by a group of police officers to stop the cruel illegal hunting of wolves, but has today developed to include all wild animals. Our model is in Africa where they have organized themselves to protect endangered animals from illegal hunting. The Foundation's purpose is to prevent illegal hunting by identifying hazards like poaching, traps, poisoning and pollution.
