Story
The UISS is Sweden's oldest and largest summer language program.
Backed by 50 years of experience, we offer a well-developed curriculum. Nowhere in Sweden will you find such an intensive summer program with such a rich choice of courses. The UISS organizes excursions that allow our students to visit sites around Sweden and to experience Swedish culture, history, and society first hand. 
People come to Uppsala from all over the world and though the majority are students, we also have quite a number of adult students, such as teachers, interpreters, translators and business people."The UISS offers Swedish language summer courses from mid June to mid August every year. All levels of Swedish are taught, from complete beginners to very advanced. In addition afternoon classes are offered in subjects related to Swedish culture, society and history, some in Swedish, others in English. The UISS was founded 1963. Participants should have a minimum age of 18. We usually welcome between 220 and 250 students and professionals, ages from 18 - around 65. About 65-70% are university students. The program offers a full package, which includes a single room with private facilities, lunch on class days, one-dar trips every Friday, free time activities, welcome and farewell dinners every 3 weeks.For more info see our website"
