A quiet place in an especially beautiful countryside.
Nice church and cemetery, kind of off the beaten trail. Couldn't get inside closed on Sunday afternoon but took some terrific pictures.
A gem of a meter. Unfortunately, the church is not always available, so check the opening hours. With the beautiful stillness that the place possesses, it becomes a room for stillness and meditation inside and outside.
Ekerö church is a beautifully situated church by Lake Mälaren. Rebuilt several times like most churches but the origin is from the latter part of the 12th century. The painting on one of my photographs gave me Albertus Pictor feelings and it is apparently attributed to a master close to him. The paintings have been whitewashed and were discovered in 1933 during a renovation. Unfortunately, they are quite fragmentary.
The interior of this small Protestant church is very pretty. This is also where scenes from the series Young Royals were filmed. Everything is magnificently restored.nIt is located in a green setting on the edge of a superb lake. It's very calming
