Ellens Cafe & Bistro

Nice treatment but my hot chocolate I bought was NOT good! As you can see in the pictures, it looks like a layer of fat between the cream and the chocolate which meant that I couldn't drink it because it didn't look appetizing and it wasn't good either.nThe furniture was very old and it was very dirty both on the tables and on the floor. The atmosphere inside the cafe was not cozy! But there was a lot of potential, so you could certainly have made it cozy if you fixed it up a bit and spent a little more time making it more inviting and homely.

Feeling at home in a nice room.nFresh and pleasant ingredients followed by good hospitality.nWell worth a stop when sugar or coffee cravings hit.

First time I was there and last time! Terribly rude and called me stupid when I asked for something that didn't appear on the board, plus no prices on the pastries and in response to this I was told that no one asks for prices. It usually says what kind of pastry it is plus prices, so very strange! She should really work on her customer service plus understand that you put names and prices on what you sell. The interior was old and worn and far from a pleasant and inviting environment! Nothing about this cafe was like a cafe should be! And if you're vegan, you can forget about eating anything there! She clearly does NOT know how to run a cafe! ‍‍‍

Always nice treatment and atmosphere. Good prawn sandwiches and above all the Budapest pastry.

Nice staff, the shrimp sandwich was good and reasonably priced.
