The Americans Service section was extremely fast, responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful when I lost my passport here in Stockholm. They called me back near instantly helping me get an appointment despite none being available until late August.nnI had a bunch of upcoming travel planned so I was pretty stressed, but they handled everything quickly and calmly. A little prouder to be an American today!
Very helpful staff! Their security and police personnel are extremely helpful, strict but helpful. It’s the US Embassy after all, they have to be a bit strict. But if you follow the rules, listen and do what they say, they are extremely helpful and funny at times!
Truly caring professionals. I live by Google reviews. And I was a bit daunted by the reviews. But, my son lost his passport and my daughter's too, and these professional people delivered! We love Stockholm; but really needed to return to the USA timely. We received the two passports slightly after hours. I cannot promise this for all situations; but this time, they shone brightly. But we enjoyed the benefits.nnThank you!nnSteve F
incredibly long queue. booked time for 9:15 and got let in at 11:30. arrived to wait in line at 8:30. better to book a time mid day than early.nnstaff was mostly nice, the officer handling my case was sadly not the nicest. i had brought plenty of supporting documents proving that my tourist visit to the states would be temporary but they only looked at 2 documents and felt that was enough. i have roughly 300k SEK in 'liquid' assets with 400k SEK in other longer term savings and apparently to the officer that was enough to look at. let me repeat. THE OFFICER ONLY LOOKED AT MY BANK ACCOUNT. my work history, employment letter and any other document i brought was not asked for.nnin short terms, i felt discriminated and persecuted for something i had no say in. i was born in sweden, i am a swede but due to my travel history as a CHILD i was denied a tourist visa. do not bother applying for a tourist visa if you aren't pure white. America is not open for business.
Stockholm number , calling about help for a visa information. The guy I was talking to was extremely rude and didn’t listen and didn’t even understand how to answer. When I asked to talk to someone that can help with the case he hung up the phone. This is not the first time he has been horrible to people. Family and friends has had the same experience.nYou guys need to train your staff
