I had a great experience at Acute Emergency! I went in for high blood pressure, and the staff were very professional, caring, and quick. I didn’t have to wait long, and they explained everything clearly. Thank you for the fast and excellent service!
İ went with extreme fever and told them that İ couldn't hear well. They did anything and send me home. After 3 weeks İ still have problems with my ears. Don't go there.
A week ago I arrived to the emergency department with complaints of breathing difficulties. I informed staff that it felt like I have something stuck in my throat. It was causing my cough plus throwing up. Triage nurses were nice, however they never took a look in my mouth. Lungs were listened to and blood work was done.nnWaited for someone to update me, doctor arrived around 3h later. Informed I have elevated white blood cells. He listened to my lungs and I did inform him as well that it feels like I have something stuck in my throat. However the doctor did not believe there’s anything there - didn’t even take a look.nnThe doctors & triage were informed when this started and what medication I was on at that time. Doctor informed me he will order extra tests, but didn’t say what kind. More than 2h later a nurse came to test me for covid. Caused me a panic attack, then I informed her that I want to leave and if she can ask for confirmation that I’m allowed to leave. Covid test results were never placed on my file in 1177!!!!! After all this and waiting time before getting triaged I spent in total over 7h there.nnLeft alone in cold room without being informed or checked upon while I was coughing and trying to not throw up. Emotional and physical distress is impossible to describe. Due to this experience it took me another 6 days to go see a doctor and seek help.nnThe new doctor in a different town listened to what I was complaining about. IMMEDIATELY looked in my throat and informed me that I have candida that has spread to my esophagus. And that’s why it feels like something is stuck in there.nnI’m not a doctor, but I don’t need to be one to know that if someone is complaining about breathing or something being stuck inside airways - you look in the patient’s mouth!!!nnJust because I can’t communicate my medical needs in Swedish does not mean I’m lying about what is happening, and writing in my file in a words that anyone can tell they don’t believe me is just outrageous.nnYou can never know if the person has past emotional trauma due to hospitals or/and doctors. If the bedside manner and treatment towards the person is like this - it only adds to the experience that makes people not to seek help again when needed.nnDo better!
Worst emergency department. I brought my husband from 7 o clock in the morning and i was waiting all day without to any information from the doctors and when i complain to the reception they told me doesn't have Shell phone your husband?? They didnt know the reason of his healthy issue and they send him home with antibiotics and 40 fever . He was waiting for all day until 10 in the night. And when it came the time to send him home he was waiting for a nurse 3 hours to take out the butterfly from his hand. He had to complain 4 times.
Both doctors and nurses I saw today provided some of the kindest care I've ever received. I felt really listened to.
