Amazing Hotel, Great Design !! We even came back on our way home to stay for another Night - so lovely - we give an extra STAR for renovating an old building and keep some elements, well done! Breakfast is fantastic, the time slots are ok- the „Bread- corner“ should perhaps be placed somewhere else as we noticed it was sometimes a little „crowdy“ there;
After a few hours drive and then 7 hours on ferry I was looking forward to having a long sleep and then a good breakfast on the first day of my vacation in Sweden. And then the super friendly lady at the check in tells me I need to book breakfast time becouse of... pandemic and that the latest slot available is... 7:45 !!! this is July 2022 where no restrictions are in force in Sweden, as they assured me at the next hotel I stayed at. Just amazing.nnAlso: if you ask them what parking options they recommend and only hear about their own paid parking dont be fooled - there is a parking lot free from 6pm till 9 am just accross the street and others not much further.
Staff seem to believe the Hotel exists for them, not for guests.nExcept the breakfast staff which are amazing.nnGood breakfast buffet.nThe bed gave me backpain. But bedlinen was nice.nThe restaurant seems nice, menu was promising but I never ate there.nI did like choosing your water and bringing it for a refill even if it meant that I had to do the job that really I pay the staff to do.
The rooms were quite okay and so was the restaurant but the cleaning lady seemed to be a bit distracted.nnOn the morning of the second day she made our bed but left dirty glasses, coffee cups and half eaten fruit in our room. The reception personnel was very helpful and quickly fixed it but still...nnThe third day the room was cleaned but the sugar for the complimentary coffee/tea was not replaced.nnAlso the window sills in the breakfast restaurant was really not clean.nnAll the personnel that I met was really accommodating and helpful so if not for the above issues this hotel would have received one more star from me.
Service okey, food around average. Cod was over done and the sause for the white esperagus was awful, Grainy and sweet. I got plastic in my food that was forgotten to take away. Wine paring for the three course dinner was sub par, don't expect to much of it.nRooms are very clean, nice and spacious. Showers are roomy and luxurious.nnThe bars closing hours are very strict at 11 pm even though we have 20+ rooms in the hotel they make no exception. So dont expect any special treatment from the staff. If you want to have a drink after 11pm this is not the perfect place for you. If you want to have something to drink after 11pm im sure there are better hotels that can accommodate your needs. I know at least that im not coming back.
