Gamla Linköping Open Air Museum

Wonderful collection of old buildings that were saved from destruction as the city grew and modernized. We visited in late September, so many of the buildings were closed but you could still get the feel of times past walking down the streets.

Went there during the Christmas market and loved it!! Very nice and cosy atmosphere, the area is very well kept and has a forest with different trails right next to it, coming from a town in Spain that is surrounded by nothing but farmlands, that's very cool

Linköping's old town is also an open air museum letting visitors experience life in Sweden around 100 years ago. It is free to visit and always open for taking a stroll on the streets. All the businesses however have their own opening schedules. You can park around the quarter, some areas are paid, some free for 2 hours.
