Gamleby church and surroundingsnWe moved to Gamleby in 1972, when I became head of the employment agency in Gamleby. We got a brand new apartment at Prästgårdshöjden 11 A. Gamleby was a fantastic place for the children to grow up in. An incredibly beautiful view towards Gamleby church. This became even more noticeable during the winters.nnWhat I remember in particular was the winter of 1975, when we got half a meter of snow and the snow fell like mittens over the old facade-lit church. It was in this church that our youngest daughter was baptized in 1975. Summers were marked by bathing at Hammarbadet and Loftahammar. and the midsummer dance for young and old is preserved in the memory bank.nnThe winters in Gamleby were always full-fledged winters. With skiing. We stayed in Gamleby for 8 years, when in 1980 we moved to Gothenburg, where I became manager of the Employment Agency's district office, Af Biskopsgården. A lot has now happened over the years over time.
