Jai Ganesh!!! The favorite place of worship for anyone who loves Ganesh! Its been recently renovated and has been very well maintained. Now its open all days in the evenings as well on Tuesday and Friday you get very delicious Prasad food cooked at the temple! We just love to visit and gives you a feeling that you are back in South Indian temple!
One thing to note.. the entrance is right behind the building which houses the Farstastrandkyrkan.. Humble honest set of people running the temple operations.. Great place to unwind and seek blessings from most of the Hindu Gods.. Located a stone's throw away from Farsta strand metro or Pendeltag stations, is easily accessible.. Has a few parking spots as well..
Peaceful indian temple. Rituals and temple is having south Indian feel. Many deities are there with main Ganesha. They do Pooja for all deities and it is really a good experience to see and worship all gods. As I am from Gujarat, I really enjoyed seeing different methods of Pooja. All must visit this with children to show Indian culture. You also can do extra Pooja you can contribute for the same , it is not mandatory. After all Pooja done they provide Prasad to all and it is really good. I would recommend all to visit this despite of coming from different parts of India.
The Ganesha temple in Stockholm exceeded my expectations in terms of the experience of a temple in foreign land. Very detailed pooja which starts at 18:30 on Tuesdays and Fridays and goes all the way until 20:30 followed by a fairly lavish “prasadam”. I was also surprised by the sheer number of people who turned up for the evening pooja and stayed all the way up until the dinner. Came out with a really good feeling and of course the “prasadam” at the end was such a good bonus. Would totally recommend this for somebody who’s borderline religious and wants to have a temple experience in Sweden.
