Generator Stockholm

I stayed at Generator Stockholm over Halloween, and what I thought would be just another quiet night by myself ended up becoming one of my favorite travel memories. I was feeling pretty lonely and out of place, so I wandered down to the bar to distract myself for a bit. That’s when I met David, the bartender, who completely changed the feel of my night.nnHe was dressed in a Day of the Dead costume a weird mask, poncho, the whole thing but what stood out even more was how genuinely kind he was. He noticed right away that I wasn’t with anyone and struck up a conversation without making it feel forced or awkward. He asked about my trip, told me funny stories about nights at the hostel, and somehow managed to make a busy bar feel like a safe little pocket of warmth.nnAt one point he even recommended a drink “that feels like someone giving you a hug,” and honestly, he wasn’t wrong. He was a wonderful bartender and made some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. He checked in throughout the night, making sure I felt welcome, and even encouraged me to join a group at the bar who ended up becoming friends for the evening.nnI’ve stayed at plenty of hostels, but staff like David are rare. He didn’t just serve drinks, he made sure people felt seen. That one night turned what could’ve been a lonely holiday into something memorable and surprisingly comforting. Generator Stockholm is lucky to have him.

We mother and adult daughter just had a 3 night stay here. We had a private twin room. The room was spotless and very spacious. There was plenty of storage and sockets - always handy! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We got extra pillows immediately upon request. The housekeeping was done upon request too. The breakfast was very tasty and a great atmosphere. We didn't use the bar area, but we did visit the pub over the road, which we recommend. Ideal location for the railway station and exploring the city. Would love to return.

Excellent property with a very comfortable room and a great location. Everything was clean and well organized, and the staff were professional and helpful. A special thanks to Paulina at reception—she gave an outstanding welcome and was incredibly kind and supportive. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location, there’s a tasty restaurant right across the street. The common area has a chill vibe, and the bed was so comfy that I slept well. It would be even better if there was a kitchen to make simple meals, and the bathroom is a bit close to the bed. Still, I really enjoyed my stay!
