A wonderful museum that exceeded all our expectations! Our child was thrilled, and so were we. The museum is quite large, so if you’re visiting with young children, I highly recommend bringing a stroller to make the experience more comfortable. Inside, you’ll find a huge variety of animals and birds, making it equally fascinating for both kids and adults.nnAnother great advantage is its location — right next to the museum you’ll find a large park and a fantastic playground, perfect for continuing your day outdoors after the visit. It’s very easy to spend several hours here without even noticing how quickly the time passes.nnDefinitely one of the best museums in Gothenburg and a must-visit for families, tourists, and anyone interested in nature and culture.
This place is very good natural history museum with a wide variety of taxidermy animals, clearly organized by category. Inside the building, there is gift shop and café, as well as free lockers available for storing your belongings.nnThe musuem located next to a public park with a spacious playground, making it a nice place to relax or have a picnic before or after visit.nnAs for parking, I'm not entirely sure where the official parking is. Our family parked on the street near some apartments paid via anapp and the walked a short distantce to the exhibition building.nnFor the famillies with small children, please note thay strollers are not allowed inside the museum. However, there is a designated are where you can leave you stroller, and you may need to carry your child while walking through the exhibits.
Really cool museum with a huge variety of stuffed animals. Saw many things that Ive never seen before. They also had a HUGE butterfly and bug collection. Seemed to be a Great place to bring kids as well considering there were hundreds of kids. Would go again. We spent several hours in there. They also had a nice cafe and gift shop.
Gothenburg Museum of Natural History nA perfect place to spend a morning! ⏰ I spent four smooth hours here and could’ve stayed longer. It’s a wheelchair-friendly museum, with clean restrooms , a café offering decent food , and a souvenir shop to help you remember your visit.nnThe exhibits are stunning—beautifully preserved animals across two floors, from the spectacular blue whales to dinosaurs, elephants , and lions . A special focus is placed on birds, with a breathtaking bird exhibition room that’s truly a must-see.nnHighly recommended for both kids and adults ‍‍‍. Don’t miss this gem if you’re in Gothenburg!
We spent 2-3 hours and could've stayed longer, there are many great things to, for adults and children. Prices are fair and you get a lot of Information on the different animals.
