We checked in at the main hotel but they gave us our family room that we booked down the street. Different building! Our room reeked of body odor as soon as we opened the door and VERY warm. AC wasn’t working even though she told us it was central air! The fan in the room wasn’t oscillating.nThe room was cramped with outdated furniture and the bed for our daughter wasn’t made up. We had to do it ourselves. The sheets on the sofa bed smelled so bad. Seems like they haven’t changed in a while. We took out the sign for the housekeeping to clean up the room but she only made the bed instead of changing the sheets. Our two days stay in this hotel was miserably awful because it was so hot in the room. You can’t leave the windows open as the bugs starts flying in because they have no screens on the windows!nOn top of that, the pool wasn’t open. They told us it was being renovated. Seriously? In the middle of summer when you know it’s a busy season! They could’ve planned this during winter time when no one is using the pool. Obviously, no one is delegating to make things happen at this hotel! Only good thing about this hotel is the location and the breakfast buffet with friendly staff. Other than that, the money that we paid for wasn’t worth it!!!
Our group enjoyed a tea with princess cake, cookies, gluten free options, lactose free options with various tea and coffee for those coffee diehards. Luxurious venue in the hotelnExcellent service.
Situated front to railway station and close to city center, this hotel is historical, old style but refurbished, with a nice atmosphere.nnRooms are not too large and bathroom quite small, but fine for a short stay.nnBreakfast is good, choice is large, but waiters/team do not really care.nnCoffee machine not working, you inform the staff as many customers would like to take coffee for breakfast. After 15 mn, no one came, don t care....nnalmost 400e for 3 nights with breakfast, bit high price for such hotel and service.
I strongly recommend! Comfortable base to explore the region. The service is fully professional and the breakfasts are extraordinarily tasty and offer diverse options.
I came just for the breakfast and I loved it! Really great variety, and it has choices for everyone, including gluten free and lactose free options. I will definitely come back again next time I’m in the town.
