Our recent stay at Hôtel Reisen was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The hotel itself is stunning—perfectly blending 17th-century history with modern Scandinavian luxury. You can’t beat the location; being right on the water in Gamla Stan, we were just steps away from the Royal Palace and the charming cobblestone streets of the Old Town.nnThe rooms were impeccably clean and cozy, and the breakfast buffet was one of the highlights of our trip don’t miss the fresh pastries and local Swedish specialties!.nnWhat truly made our stay exceptional, however, was the service. We want to give a massive thank you to Miguel at the front desk. He truly went above and beyond to make our visit memorable and special. From his fantastic local restaurant recommendations to his genuine warmth and attentiveness at every turn, he made us feel like VIP guests. It’s rare to find service that is both professional and so deeply personal.nnIf you are looking for a place that feels like a home away from home with world-class service, stay here. We can’t wait to come back!
We stayed at the Hotel Reisen for 4 nights on 2 separate stays. The hotel is situated in a prime location along the Eastern Gamla Stan waterfront. It is walking distance from several great restaurants and shops in Gamla Stan as well as the Central Rail Station and the business district.nnThe front desk representatives make an excellent first impression: Extremely friendly and helpful. We worked with Edita and Muim during our respective stays. Both were great. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed toiletries, refrigerator, guest slippers and even a set of binoculars for viewing across the waterfront. They were very attentive to details. The bathroom was spacious and had excellent shower facilities. The entire hotel felt updated and modernized. There were a few nice perks for guests such as providing umbrellas and holding some of our luggage while we traveled to other parts of Sweden.nnImportant to note: The hotel had several amenities that we did not try i.e. restaurant, fitness center, pool, etc..nnStill, we had an excellent lodging experience at the Hotel Reisen and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Stockholm.
The best location ever. Close to everything. Staff was nice and pretty helpful. Room was small and the bathroom even smaller. Hard to was your feet, every time you bent down you hit the shower door so it opened up. Beds were absolutely fantastic. Slept so good.nFabulous breakfast.
We had a fantastic New Year’s Eve dinner at Restaurant Reisen on 31 December 2025. Every dish was delicious — from the Lobster & Caviar Tartlet and Balfego Tuna Tartlet, to the Surf & Turf, Beef Wellington, and Baba au Rhum dessert. Huge thanks to the chef and the team for an unforgettable evening!nnWe stayed at this hotel from December 30, 2025 to January 2, 2026. The room is small but quite comfortable. Everything you need is provided: slippers, a bathrobe, an iron, and a kettle. There is a sauna on the lower floor that guests can use. Unfortunately, the access to the sauna goes through the bar, which is not very convenient.nnThe breakfasts are good.nnAnd of course, the hotel has an excellent location — the main city attractions are just a short walk away.
I had a great stay here in August. Our room was super clean and comfortable, plus we really enjoyed the view of the water. We loved the location since we were in easy walking distance of all the places we wanted to visit. Unfortunately it was a little cold for us to use the indoor pool since it wasn't heated but the spa area was peaceful and relaxing in general. I would 100% be happy to visit again.
