Halmstads Slott

Must see. Even though it was close, you could get at the square inside of the castel and scrutinise the castels exterior. It is a beautiful place to take a break and enjoy the environment of the 16th century. Be aware that it is closed on Mondays, but you still can get to square and enjoy the exterior of the castle.

Date of visit: 29th August 2025nI visited Halmstad Slott on a Friday at 4 pm. We didn’t go inside the castle as it is not open for public, just admired the castle’s exterior and spent time in the charming square courtyard. The area by the Nissan River was peaceful and beautifully tranquil. An old-style ship was moored nearby, which added a lovely touch and made for some great photos.nnA note for future visitors:nthe interior is generally not open to the public, except for select guided tours on certain occasions.

Very nice place from outside, I had no chance to visit inside yet.

Great building but only open Tuesday,Wednesday and Saturday for 3 hours per day.nNot good for tourism

Halmstad, Golf capital of Sweden, nice and clean regional city. Well worth a visit
