We were really looking forward to this market but could not believe that we had actually located it on arrival. There were only a few stalls , selling cheap but expensive ethnic jewellery, another selling fabric bags which were actually faded and dirty. The location was really run down and quite dirty. There was a nice tiered seating area where about 20 or thirty people were sitting , some eating from the food stalls which looked ok but frankly the place was so filthy I don't know how they could eat from the stalls. It was definitely a massive let down, no books , only a few clothing stands. Don't waste your time going here if you like markets.
Do yourself a favor and try the Liberian food. Nothing like fried plantains on a hot sunny day to transport you.
Neighbourhood market held during the afternoon on Saturdays and Sundays between April and September inclusive. Features crafts and food stalls from a variety of cultures. An interesting venture if you're in the area.
