We had been recommended this hotel by someone in the family and decided to try it out for a romantic weekend. I had ordered flowers in the room and champagne in advance, and also asked if it was possible to have a bathtub in the room. The hotel was very helpful with everything and made everything ready for us before we arrived. The first thing we noticed was how welcome we felt at the reception. The receptionist was very nice and took the time to talk to us about all the facilities. The rooms were nice and everything was nicely prepared for our arrival. We had a good breakfast at the hotel, enjoyed drinks in the lounge and ate at the restaurant here too own review. It is incredibly nice that all the female and some male waiters/receptionists walk around wearing dresses/shirts with floral motifs, it was very well done. It should be said that the hotel is located in the middle of the avenue and you get a lot of noise from the disco. It was wise to ask for a room away from the street. Now it should be said that we were warned about this, but still chose the room because of the bathtub. Slept poorly the first night before we saw that the hotel had put out earplugs in the bathroom, so this could have easily been avoided if we had looked a little more carefully ; The next night was good, then earplugs were used. Very, very happy with the stay, definitely recommend this hotel.
Perfect location and the cuteness factor of the interior was at least 6 stars out of 5. The price-content ratio was even higher. We stayed in small single rooms, but they were perfectly designed. Only complaint: I did not care so much for the posters with 1960es movie stars, since everything else was a 1890s parisian boudoir style. The breakfast was nice too - as were the grab-to-go cinnamon buns in the reception. Very thoughtful! We never made it to the exciting roof bar, but it looks amazing in the pictures. We will be back!
Compared to Hotel Pigalle and other Ess-group hotells, this is not worth the same price range in my opinion.nGreat hotell and atmosphere, but I’m missing the little extra as Pigalle offers. For instance cute vanity kits and minibar fridge.. Small details that actually makes a change. Especially for that price.nHotel Pigalle is also way more centralized and conveniently placed.nBesides this, Hotel Bellora is a cozy hotel with loads of charm. If you love the Ess-group style as we do, you won’t be disappointed.nWe love the Italian vibe! The boxing ring in the gym is a really cool detail. And we are looking forward trying out the rooftop bar when it opens up in the spring.nGood breakfast, and beautifully decorated!nWe love the details :
I never stayed at the hotel but, the roof bar is great in the summer. It's one of the better in Gothenburg. The lobby bar is also cozy and a good place to start your evening!
Let's start of with the rooms. The layout is extremely cramped for the price class. For the 2nd tier you get 14 sqm, but the layout makes it very uncomfortable and cramped.nnThere is also no power slots in any convenient areas, so if you want to iron your shirt you're just below the fire alarm, next to the small 0.5m space between the bed and the wall.nnThe toilet is ok.nnThe amenities in the room are below expectation for a 4* hotel. No tea, no coffee, no minibar.nThere's a bag of items you can purchase, like chips and water. But why would I buy that when it's not cooled? Shampoo/conditioner is ok.nnThe reception is cramped, it's also the entrance to the restaurant which means it just gets confusing and too many people in the same area.nnThe gym is ok, but very dark. I can't read the what the weight is on the dumbells. It's not because I am old, I have 20/20 vision.nnThe breakfast was nice, good scrambled eggs and bread.nThe info screen in the TV teased waffles, but this was not an option. This made me sad.
