Charming hotel, with a nice location at the Old town next to the river. Charming and cosy, good bed and duvets, very nice bathroom and super clean. Breakfast buffet with a nice range of options and home baked buns. They also had a room where you could make coffee/tea and offered glasses and cutlery if you bring your own food. Nice courtyard with roses. Super nice and helpful staff my taxi didn’t arrive and they drove me to the station so that I didn’t miss my train. Thanks !.nIt’s recommendable both for business, solo or family stays
What looked like a cozy room was in fact the worst one. We got room no.1 which was entrance level with the window to the street. It was a cute room that was fresh and well decorated. During our stay we heard everyone going up and down the stairs and anyone taking out on the streets sounded like they were in the room. This became a big problem during the night when people came home from partying. I woke up probably 5 times during the night from this, felt like no isolation at all. Then we both woke up early in the morning when people started going down stairs for breakfast.nnA breakfast that was underwhelming with no bacon, sausage or scrambled eggs. Basic hotel breakfast was missing.nnSo in the end this place won't get a great review or a revisit from us.
Ever since I moved from Sweden, this is the one place I return to every time I go back. The rooms are well decorated and clean, the other guests are in general quiet or the rooms are very well insulated, the owners and the staff are very friendly and service minded. There's nothing more to wish for really, which is why I keep coming back time after time.
I don’t really understand the positive feedbacks here. May a cultural thing and customers in Sweden are more easy to satisfy. However, I stayed there in a single room smaller than the so called box hotels in Japan. I prison cell is more comfortable. The bathroom was ok however. Now they don’t even accept Swedish crowns for payment, the official currency of the country!!! Wow…nIf you don’t have booking.com you pay like 30% more…no comment.nBreakfast is surprisingly good, but everyone has to touch like the bread and other buffet items due to a lack of grabbing devices. No containers are provided to place jam or butter to…but when ask for this kind of rather common items they look at you like you are an alien. So it must be cultural.nWe had a bad feeling when booking it, but got tired so we took it. I strongly suggest however to look more carefully for something else if you don’t want to end up in a prison cell…!
On our Bikepacking Tour we enjoyed this hotel the most! Amazing interior! I directly felt like home. I love the paintings. Thank you for the nice stay!
