I was very satisfied with my 5 nights stay at Hotell Viking!nnIt is very comfortably furnished and has a very inviting atmosphere.nnIt's not just the décor that makes you fall in love with this place; the staff are also very friendly and always ready to help wherever they can.nnFor 80 SEK, you can even have your laundry done on site, which I think is quite reasonable for a hotel service.nnIn addition, if you want to get to know Sweden more than just superficially, you can also ask the friendly staff for advice on what you shouldn't miss.nIt also seemed to me that they were very happy to do so.nnI asked Anna for advice and, thanks to that, I was able to discover and see a few things that I wouldn't have thought of myself and might otherwise have completely overlooked and missed out on!nI am very grateful for that.nnI even received some great souvenir boutique recommendations for family and friends, and they were more than happy to share their suggestions.nnIn addition, there is a breakfast buffet every morning where you can tuck in and enjoy yourself.nnThere is a very nice garden, which is great for enjoying tea or coffee in the fresh air.nThanks to a pavilion, this is even possible when it rains!nnThe common areas, such as the toilets, showers, library and dining area, appeared to be very well maintained and clean, and there was nothing that caused me any concern.nnIn addition, every visitor has the opportunity to help themselves to free coffee, tea, water and even pastries at any time.nnAnd if you ask nicely, you may also be able to store your luggage on site after checkout, provided you pick it up again in time. It is also looked after very well and treated with a great deal of respect!nnI may have forgotten something, but overall I was really very satisfied with my stay and the price/performance ratio!
Old Victorian style hotel. Very nice and clean. Breakfast was very good! 10 min walk to pedestrian street and city center and restaurants. We enjoyed staying here.
I love the furniture, the vibes and the everything about the interior and exterior. The breakfast buffet was a on the smaller side, but I don’t mind because everything looked very good.
If I could rate this hotel higher, I would! We were impressed from start to finish with the level of thought and care which has gone into every detail of the property. The space was charming, clean, and very comfortable. We wished we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was especially nice, with a wide range of delicious options. The common areas were immaculate, and speaking with the host was a pleasure in itself! You can’t go wrong with this place.
The owner, Mattias, is one of the rudest people I have ever met. Long story, but we couldn’t get checked in despite being there before 10pm which is the stated end of check in time because nobody was at the desk or answered the phone number posted at the desk or the bell that we rang. We ended up staying at Bohusgården which was nicer anyway. I asked for a refund on the room since we couldn’t get checked in and Mattias sent me message after message to the point of stalker blaming us because “we do not follow directions.” I received the directions to check in three days after we were supposed to stay there. He blames that on my data plan. Funny how I got his other messages just fine. I finally stopped responding and let the refund go because he seems a little unhinged. Glad we didn’t stay there.
