If you enjoy wasting both money and time, eat lunch here. You'll enjoy the tired upholstery in peace and quiet as the staff will rarely check on you... Except to advise that the dish you ordered isn't available...20 minutes after you placed the order. Another hour will pass before you're told that your new order didn't get to the kitchen. Another 30 minutes will pass and you'll be the last table occupied in the place. They won't insult you with a free meal either. Nope, full price!nThankfully we saw the Brahe museum first but were unable to see the rest of Hven by bike as we no longer had time before the ferry departed. Thank you for ruining our day trip!

I was greated so warm and friendly, had such good food, enjoyed the decorations and atmosphere and slept very well in the simple but clean room in a comfortable bed! Situated at the heart of Ven - I could even walk back to the ferry, enjoy the horizon and the pheasant in the autumn fields.

If you’re going to Vien make SURE to book a reservation at this place. We happened to bike by and make a reservation an hour before it opened and when we tell you it was the best meal we had so far in Sweden we’re not kidding. We started with the Deer Carpaccio and their local charcuterie board which was amazingggg. For dinner we got their veggie option, cabbage stuffed with barley risotto, as well as their pork with smoked butter and the classic Swedish meatballs dish. Truly, there was nothing that didn’t supersede our expectations. Service was incredible and the inside was beautiful! Make sure to stop by!

Staying at the House of Ven was delightful from start to finish! The staff were so welcoming and the food was spectacular. Ven is a beautiful island and the hotel is perfectly positioned to explore and to relax. I will certainly return!

On the perfect little island of Hven / Ven between Sweden and Denmark you'll find this very cosy and easy-going, yet very fine dining place. We loved the food and the very down-to-earth service. Recommended
