Inet is the best computer store in Sweden, if you ask me, and this physical location is excellent.. Long-time customer who has had multiple systems built there. They have a lot of expertise.
I am writing this review with a very disappointed heart.nnWhere do I begin? Back in 2008 to 2010, I walked into a shop close to my workplace. I loved everything about it. They gave good advice, and I never felt the pressure of a salesman. This shop was Inet in Sisjön. I have been their customer ever since. I always bought my products from Inet and trusted their advice. My current PC was built by them. My son’s and daughter’s computers were bought from them. Almost every computer related item such as routers, extenders, cables and power banks came from Inet.nnUnfortunately, that ended last week. I experienced not one but a series of issues with Inet, and the company I trusted for so many years has lost all its credibility.nnTwo weeks ago, my son was updating the BIOS on his computer when the motherboard, which was still under warranty, suddenly died. He tried to troubleshoot it, but nothing worked. I drove him to Inet Sisjön. We were told they had to check the motherboard and try to repair it, and that it would take one week. When I asked if it could be done earlier, I was told that we would have to pay 400 SEK for faster diagnostics or repair. That was a shock to me. We left the motherboard there and waited.nnA week later, they replied that the motherboard was dead, which was expected, and that a small piece of plastic was missing. Its only purpose was to give physical support to the graphics card. It had no functional role. They said the warranty would not apply. My son explained that when the motherboard failed, we removed it, and that piece of plastic may have come off. He later found it. I emailed Inet explaining the situation. We received no response, so the next day we went back to the store.nnA new staff member helped us, but he had no idea about the issue. It was clear he was not properly trained in customer service. When I asked for the manager, I was told he had gone home even though the shop was still open. I asked a few safety related questions, and he had no answers. It is a serious concern that Inet has not provided proper training for situations like fire, robbery or customer handling.nnEventually, a senior staff member came to talk to us. He claimed that an email had been sent to us. Neither my son nor I received any email. We asked why there was no record of it. After talking to someone, he showed us an email that we never received.nnInet decided to stand their ground. In other words, they hid behind the rule that since a small piece of plastic was off, the warranty did not apply. This felt like the final strike. We were not being believed. I felt like I was being treated as someone trying to scam them for a small amount of money.nnThen it hit me, and it made me very sad. The Inet I remembered existed only in my mind. The current reality was different. I told them they had lost a loyal customer and that I would never return to their store.nnUnfortunately, the story does not end here. My son bought a new graphics card from them. Under warranty and the open buy policy, it should have been a simple return. The card did not work, was not compatible with the CPU, or the CPU itself is faulty. He returned it, but they did not refund the money because they said they needed one week to check it. And if we wanted it sooner, we had to pay again. He also returned his CPU for testing which is under warranty, but that matter is between him and Inet. Hopefully they will help him and keep him as a customer.nnA message to Inet management: please take action and review what has gone wrong. If this is what Inet has become, I do not see the company lasting another year or two.
Really bad day started with my gfx card dying. Gentleman named Robin took the time to test the card, give me repair options, and then replacement options too!nnI’m not technical but he was incredibly patient and by the end I was feeling a lot better about everything so props to him!nnThis was the 3rd stop I made and the other stores didn’t have cards in stock I could use in my pc, so good selection!
You know inet never disappoints, staffs with good knowledge and good support made inet my first go to store. They might not have the cheapest prices all the time, something that I was usually looking for but after few years with inet I must say they are my favourite, looking at my profile and amount of purchases I have done with them , I could expect some sort of loyalty points or some special perks but they are not doing that for anyone I guess which could be nice.
Not much to say other than Inet is the best computer store around. Amazing vibe, lots of inventory and options. Amazing in-store events, superb e-store. Great knowledgeable staff/support whom won't try to sell you things you don't need and will make sure you leave happy.
