I’m gonna have to give it to the ’Järva-borna’ that the pool facilities are clean, well kept and entirely managed by young adults who are alert and helpful. I wish this was here when I grew up in the vicinity many moons ago. If you are expecting many Swedes though then go somewhere else. This is one place for the ’förorten’ feel where even the blonde looking Swedes as well as the black brown medium whatever Swedes make you realise you grew up with the coolest people on the planet who should be making decisions in the UN and ICJ. Best part? The youth who entirely manage the site don’t argue or question you a single second upon wanting your money back after poo incidents discovered by alert parents. All in all a great place where everyone is accepted. Finally, bring your own picnic here as the so called ’café’ is only a tuck shop which decided to close early on a windy day sign was clear in that they reserve the right to close early on less busy days.nParking is ok Eggeby gård but getting here by bus/train more onerous. However, if you and the children are up for a 15-20min walk from the nearest tube station then you are in for a treat on a sunny day as ’Järvafältet’ offers magnificent scenery with horses and much flora/fauna on the route. Made me really nostalgic, as well as seeing the lovely youth manage the site so well. Enjoy!
An excellent addition to Järva. Great pools, if a bit busy, lots of loos and changing areas as well as lockers and a cafe.
This is what I wrote two years ago…”Very good and clean… a bit crowded but still enough space to relax and enjoy water!”… I have unfortunately to edit my review.. the place is still fantastic… but the level of education and respect of people visiting the place is embarrassing: a lot leave the garbage on the wooden platforms and on the garden… it is a mess… everyone should collect own waste and garbage!!!com’on!!! just a couple of examples in the pictures…
Very nice facilities. Lots of space.nGood price 900 SEK/3 months summer card in 2025nI used to train here since they used to have a swim lane for swim training motionsim.nThey have removed it this year, so it makes it impossible to train when the weather is decent. Too many kids occupying all the space.nThat is a pity, one would just need 5x25m of space available in one of the three swimming pools.nIn rainy and/or cold days there are usually no kids and it is still possible to do swim training.nFor nice days, I recommend Vanadisbadet in the city center. Here the facility manager has a brain
One of the biggest modern swimming outdoor facilities in Stockholm.
