We enjoyed walking around the beautiful surrounding!
Beautiful place to go walking close to the city. The park grounds and nearby canal are a lovely place to unwind and walk or picnic. The palace is an impressive and large building with cannons out on the front over looking the water. Definitely worth a visit to look around.
Karlberg Palace is such a lovely and underrated place to visit in Stockholm! It’s just a short walk from Karlberg station, right by the water, and surrounded by a beautiful park that’s perfect for a peaceful walk or a picnic. The atmosphere is calm, and you get amazing views of the city without the usual tourist crowds.nnThe palace itself dates back to the 1600s and has a fascinating history – it’s actually home to Sweden’s military academy, so parts of it are still in use today. Because of that, the inside isn’t always open to the public, but during the summer they usually offer guided tours. Tickets are quite cheap, and you can buy them online or sometimes at the entrance when tours are running.nnIf you get the chance to join a tour, it’s totally worth it – you can see beautifully decorated rooms, old paintings, and learn about the palace’s royal past. Even if you don’t go inside, walking around the park and along the water is really nice.nnA great spot for anyone who enjoys history, architecture, and quiet places away from the busy city center.
Beautiful place so close to the city. Wonderful spot to just sit by the water and nature and relax.nThis is one of my favorite places in Stockholm where I hangout a lot
Incredible walking and picnic spot. I think I walk here almost 2-3 times a week. It’s an incredible place to go for your morning or evening walk. In the summer or nicer weather it’s a great place to have a picnic. It’s well maintained and offers a great view of the city in the summer. You can also going swimming and bring your dog as it have very easy access to the water for animals. I love it here easily my top 5 spots in the city
