Karlsborgs Vandrarhem

It's a vey basic hostel with shared kitchen and some rooms don't have their own shower/toilet. The building itself seems to be quite old but everything is clean and we liked the pretty soft beds. There is also a small breakfast for all guests in the morning. Would recommend this place for a 2 or 3 night stay in Karlsborg. It's too basic for a longer stay.

This establishment appears to be a poorly retrofitted nursing home from the 1930s turned into a hotel/hostel/crash pad. It deserves 2 stars because it is clean. If you want to sleep on 20 year old mattresses and rickety bunk beds, this is the place. The common bathrooms are out of level, with the drain at the high end of the room, so you will get a chance to squeegee the floor right after showering. The best part is all the doors have over developed springs, so they will hit you in the ankle as you cross the threshold

Breakfast is not so good, WiFi is very bad. The rooms are okay, just very small and impracticaly furnished. For a couple of days it's workable, but not recommended for a long stay.

The location great, alot things to see around and stuff is friendly

Good place for a stay with good breakfast and parking place. Very nice surroundings and wonderful lakes!
