While small, Karlskoga has a lot to offer in terms of activities and attractions. Ideal for a peaceful yet enriching experience!
The town of Karlskoga has evolved around Bofors, which in late 19th century transformed from iron works to a manufacturer of cannon and in the 20th century a more diversified defense industry. The most famous owner of Bofors was Alfred Nobel who owned the company from 1894 until his death in December 1896. He had the key role in reshaping the iron manufacturer to a modern cannon manufacturer and chemical industry.
It is a special and beautiful place.
Quite an ok bus terminal. Would have liked a little more info about long-distance bus stops, e.g. Oslo. The toilet costs 10 SEK but looks like a public free toilet once inside. Dirty and untidy. Improvement there, thank you!
Good station, would have liked more space but no major problem, good kiosk with a large selection for longer trips, the toilet costs 10kr but not particularly worth it considering the condition, generally good though!
