Beautiful, organised, clean, and quiet city. I love it.
Waiting rooms are not enough.Especially cold winter day, if train services canceled or delayed people waiting in the room like a packed like sardines. On the other Kristianstad central train station has accessible location. If you have time you can find many place to visit. The biggest disadvantage of the station is that you have no choice but to wait when the train service is cancelled. Because it's a closed-circuit station. You can’t find to alternative way for travel.
Kristianstad is a city and the seat of Kristianstad Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden with 40,145 inhabitants in 2016. During the last 15 years, it has gone from a garrison town to a developed commercial city, today attracting visitors in the summertime mainly from Germany, Denmark and The Netherlands.
Forgive me but how is it possible to get the platform announcement wrong EVERY SINGLE TIME? I've taken the train from Kristianstad three times in the last week and every time the platform was changed at the last minute, forcing travelers to run in the snow. Also, the destination written on the trains themselves have unfailingly been wrong. A traveler may as well throw a coin as to which platform to go to in Kristianstad - it's like the service is run by sadists. I don't know if it happens with all trains or only with Oresundtag, but it's a joke of a service.
There is a very bad Pee like smell since past week...Its a very strong odour and unbearable..No one seems to care about it though....
