One of the highlights from visiting Visingsö is definitely this amazing church. The church is so old and the interior is empty with very nice wall paintings and one main altar. There is the option to climb the stairs and go to the top of the Bell Tower which is an experience that I will recommend to everyone coming to this amazing place. The walking to the top is a little bit difficult as the stairs are quite narrow and it takes about 5 to 10 minutes to reach the top. The first section of the stairs is the most difficult as it is very narrow, and it is made of stone but there is a rope that is assisting you to get to the middle section from where the wooden stairs start. There is a small fee to be paid for this experience, however it is well worth the money. Once on the top, there is a 360° of the whole island of Visingsö, and if the weather is clear then you have an uninterrupted view of the whole region. It is recommended to be 10 to 15 minutes at the top because there might be other people who are going up and down. Overall, this is an unforgetable experience that should not be missed whenever here.
Nice small church from the 12th century. If you are lucky enough you will hear hymn practice in the sanctuary. It is worth climbing up to the tower and the view there is gorgeous. 20 SEK is needed to access the tower, but the staff still let us in knowing that we didn't bring cash.
If you're already on the island, check it out.
Hard to go up and downstairs but the amazing view worth doing it. The only ridiculous thing is that you need to pay 20 sek per person to go up on the tower and they need it in cash or by swich and we didn't have cash and the network was not ok there to send swich so we wasted 10 minutes of our 15 minutes stop there in our tour but thanks to the old man who work there that allowed us to go up without paying when he saw our struggle.
Nice and old building.. Great to be there
