We had a package that included dinner, spa, stay over one night and breakfast the next day. Very nice place with great view towards the park. The building has a cozy mix between the 1800s interior decoration trends, when the hotel was built vintage furniture, wallpapers and paintings and modern interior decoration trends. Good heating during winter. Nice personell and very nice spa too, with a heated swimming pool, dry and humid sauna, outdoor geothermal pools etc. Very cozy winter feeling, calm music at the restaurant, in the background, and good food.nnThe only thing that didn't feel right was the serving during pur dinner, when we waited for 1,5 hours for our main course. Everyone else around us got their dinner and even finished it, while we were still waiting. In the end I had to find the waiter and remind him about our food.nnAnother waiter apologized and offered us free desserts as compensation. It sounded nice at that very moment, but after finishing our food, we realized we had spent 2 hours for one meal and we were too tired to wait more for a dessert. The other waiter's intention to compensate our waiting was nice though.nnAll in all we had a very nice stay and we hope to come back.
No positive comments about the room. Additionally I heard how neighbour was talking and snoring . The restaurant is very good, food was perfect. By the way staff in the restaurant could be more welcoming.
We got a room that was very warm due to the afternoon sun & the reception was kind enough to let us borrow a fan.nnSpa lady was very nice & friendly.nnRestaurant: evening service wasn't so good, borderline rudeness. @ the Bar lady...
Too far from being a 4-star hotel! Bathroom too small, room stinks and with no ventilation, too basic breakfast… maybe a 2-star could be a generous grade.
Unfriendly and incompetent reception staff… unwilling to help. Clarify all details before booking. While the Parkvillan is fine clean and all, not spacious enough for a family of 4 with a small dog. Plus there is no wifi in certain rooms.
