Bringing the essence of Burgundy wines to the Nordic countries.
La Paulée is a Burgundian celebration held at the end of the grape harvest each year. Revived in 1923 by Jules Lafon, one of Burgundy's most respected wine growers, it’s part of Les Trois Glorieuses, "the three glorious days", that take place around Beaune on the third weekend of each November.
Since 2000 the La Paulée tradition has found a second home in the US, held each year in New York and San Francisco respectively. It’s hosted by Daniel Johnnes, the founder of La Paulée de New York and San Francisco, and Wine Director of Daniel Boulud's Dinex Group. The event brings together growers, producers, collectors and the finest sommeliers in the world to celebrate the great wines of Burgundy.
In the spirit of the original La Paulée, we are now proud to present La Paulée Nordic – a celebration of Burgundy wines for the Nordic countries. The event is a collaboration between Jonas Sandberg, former sommelier at Fäviken Magasinet**, now sommelier/owner at renowned Stockholm wine bar Folii, and Daniel Johnnes’ La Paulée de New York™. On the 7th of April 2018 we will bring together wine lovers from all over the Nordic countries and beyond to Stockholm for a true celebration of Burgundy wines, with tastings, seminars and a spectacular Gala Dinner where you are invited to bring and share bottles from your own cellar alongside an all Burgundy wine pairing. The event will take place in the grand setting of Operakällaren in Stockholm.
