Needed lunch. Wanted a more local experience. This place had great food and great ambience! And the building is way cool too!nnI had a roast beef sandwich and a slice of carrot cake. And washed it down with some Cuba Cola. Everything was great! And decently priced.nnIf I'm ever back in Malmö, I'll try to get back to Lilla Kafferosteriet!
A lovely coffee shop just off the main Square. That’s clearly popular with both locals and tourists alike. Plenty of seating inside and outside - do try the garden, which is really lovely.nnWe tried their cinnamon buns and caramel buns, which were great, but the standout were definitely the coffees. We came here by way of recommendation as they said this coffee shop roasts their own beans.nnWe tried both the cappuccino and the flat white and the quality of the coffee. It was top-notch. This is a great place to enjoy a quiet slow morning with friends and family.nnAlso, really recommend the carrot cake which was delicious
Wonderful cinnamon bun and good coffee!nnAs part of our day trip to malmö, we needed some coffee. We found this place online and gave it a try.nnWe ordered a cinnamon bun and a cardamom bun, with an espresso and a cappuccino.nnThe buns were delightful, and the coffee was good and very mild, not that strong roasted as expacted.nnFor those four items we paid 165 SEK. It was a fair price and we would come again, if we are in town.
I really liked this place. The carrot cake I had was delicious, the raspberry cheesecake was amazing, and I also really enjoyed my cappuccino.nnHowever, there is one major issue that really disappointed me: there was a sign saying that studying is not allowed in the café. I find this completely unacceptable. Of course, I can understand that they might be uncomfortable with people occupying tables for 5–6 hours without ordering much. But the solution to this should not be banning studying altogether.nnThere are many more reasonable alternatives: for example, limiting working time to one hour, requiring customers to order something every two hours, or applying this rule only on weekends. Applying such a strict rule even during quiet weekday hours completely kills my motivation to come here as a student.nnSeeing a sign that forbids opening your laptop, writing, or even quietly reading made me extremely uncomfortable. Honestly, what else are cafés for? You either read, chat with friends, or study. Because of this policy, I won’t be coming back, which genuinely makes me sad because I otherwise liked this place very much.
Coffee was nice.. internet is decent but you can’t charge your devices anywhere. The house is old and the staff asks you not to plug anything into the outlets since it could cause an outage.nTip: might as well just turn off the outlets circuits or tape them to avoid it.nnWould recommend if you want to sit outside tho.
