This is a money making machine. Yes, it's very beautiful, the Christmas decorations are very special, the detail is incredible. The overall vibe is just really jolly and fun. Most coasters are operating, the Ferris wheel is glowing, the food is excellent although reindeer kebab?... But behind all that is a smart machine to generate money. Additional to the entry fee you pay for every attraction. I paid 100 kr for the Valkyria ride. That's 10€ for 1 ride lasting 45 seconds. I'm used to pay for food and goodies in amusement parks. But paying for the rides themselves is beyond me. Another thing, you see a lot of people running around w/ huge candy bags they obviously have won. There's lottery wheels for 30 kr 3€ a pop.nnIt is insane, how much money this park generates on the side. I can't imagine visiting w/ children. You'll end up paying a vacation.
Liseberg was an amazing experience! The winter atmosphere was magical with all the decorations. I was especially impressed by how accessible it is; it’s very friendly for people with disabilities, and with a companion's help, we were able to enjoy most of the rides easily. Pro tip: It gets very cold, so make sure to dress warmly! A must-visit in Gothenburg
Visited the park just before halloween and thought it was so fun! I did not do any rides, just walked around, but I felt it was still worth it. Decorations for halloween are everywhere, it really puts you in the mood. There arr some nice shops for food and gifts everywhere around, it reslly feels like a fair. Would definitely recommend to stop there for anyone visiting the city, this was beyond expectations!
We visited Liseberg on December 26th with my 3-year-old and chose the admission + rides pass, which gives access to all the attractions. The park is fantastic for kids, especially during the Christmas season. The decorations and festive theme were absolutely stunning — it really felt magical.nnSince Liseberg draws around 3 million visitors a year, some queues were quite long, particularly for the children’s rides, with waiting times of up to about 45 minutes. It’s worth being prepared for that, but the atmosphere and experience still made the visit worthwhile.nnFood prices were fairly reasonable for a theme park. We had a kebab meal for 115 SEK, which felt like a decent price. One of the highlights was that the Carousel merry-go-round is free for everyone, which adds a lovely festive touch and lets all visitors join in on the fun.nnOverall, Liseberg is a wonderful family destination during Christmas — magical decorations, lots for kids to enjoy, and a great festive vibe. Even with the queues, we had a really memorable day.
Well, overall it is definitely worth visiting, but check opening hours. We visited during the holiday season with guests from Germany, bought tickets at 4 pm without knowing it closes at 5 pm, abd there were no information or no one warmed us in the entry. Almost all rides were already closed. Unfortunately, we couldn’t enjoy the park properly, so make sure to plan your visit according to the schedule.
