Had a wonderful time listening to Holst, Mozart + more today. Beautiful Concert Hall!
A giant consert hall with a beautiful atmosphere that take you in to the experience and makes you feel like you are in one of the classic theatres from the 1800s. There is a spacious area before entering where you can hang your clothes for a price and mingle. The doors at the entrance are very strange and not very effective. Luckily there are better doors in case of an emergency like a fire but I don't understand why they don't use them as default.
One of the best concert halls I have visited. Especially the entrance hall, the bars and the surroundings.
All of the auditoriums have really comfortable seats. It's easy to see and hear the things on the stage. It's open lobby makes it feel less claustrophobic even tho there is a great number of people. There is a restaurant and two cafes and a secret tip is to go up on the higher levels to get a good impressive view of the surrounding buildings and the lobby.
The facility is top quality. Its design and its location. However, I don't think bearing the name of the one of the merchant who traded in chains which were used for slave trade is a good brand.
