**Misleading Description and Poor Communication**nnI recently booked this property based on its description as a ground floor apartment with a private parking space. However, upon arrival, I discovered that it is actually a basement apartment with no private parking. This discrepancy significantly affected my stay.nnWe were expecting a beautiful apartment in nature, especially given the lovely weather. Instead, the atmosphere was incredibly depressing, as the basement apartment was set back under the large terrace of the host, making it feel like sitting in a parking garage.nnFurthermore, the majority of the pictures on the listing do not actually show the accommodation but rather the surrounding area in Aspen. This is highly misleading and contributed to our initial impression that the apartment would be much different than what we encountered.nnDespite my attempts to resolve the issue with the host, communication was poor. Eventually, the host cancelled my booking without explanation, falsely claiming that I was a no-show, even though it was a self-check-in and the host was not present. She also cancelled our booking without comment, making it a paid cancellation, so we are now not even allowed to use the basement apartment and still have to pay the full price.nnTo add to the frustration, the host subsequently changed the description on the homepage. Due to the cancellation, I was no longer eligible to leave a review on Booking.com, which likely explains the lack of negative reviews for this property.nnThis experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I feel misled by the inaccurate description and the host’s lack of professionalism.
